CO-OPS & INTERNSHIPS

INFORMATION SYSTEMS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Interns in Information Systems will experience delivering Dow's global information systems infrastructure, products and services. Internships will be focused on "running the business," system monitoring, problem resolution, service management, technical and financial management, work process and systems design.

The internship may also include:

  • I/T Direct Operations
  • Security Monitoring
  • Facilitation of incident resolution process across multiple technologies (Workstation, NT, VMS, Telecomm, UNIX and Mainframe)
  • Global I/S Operations Service Desk
  • Technology Management as part of I/T related projects including applications like SAP or PeopleSoft
  • Business or Functional Work Process and Systems Projects

You can expect the opportunity to work with Dow support personnel in the United States; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Schkopau, Germany; Terneuzen, The Netherlands; Shanghai, China; as well as clients in other Dow locations.

Duration of Program

Internship opportunities are available in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Saginaw or Midland, Michigan; and usually last for 12 weeks in the summer.

Who We are Looking for

Dow will consider individuals who are within one or two years from graduation and are currently enrolled in a university working towards a bachelor's or master’s degree in a related technical field preferably in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required to join Dow as an intern. We prefer candidates with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidates seeking U.S.-based internships need to have the ability to work legally in the United States (e.g. U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or qualifying refugee or individuals granted asylum). Applicants who do not indicate that you have the necessary work authorization will not be considered for U.S.-based internships.
